- Name the shapes. Ask: Which shape is your favorite? Why? Which shapes are hard to remember? Why?
- Compare the shapes. Ask: Which shapes look almost the same? How are they different from the other shapes? Which shapes are round? Count shapes and sides. Remind your child that shapes with four sides and four corners are called quadrilaterals.
- Ask: Which shapes do you know that are NOT on the poster? Have your child draw a picture of missing shapes or find examples in your home.
