Be a Scientist

Have your child tell what the girl in the photo is doing.

  • Ask: What is the girl looking at? Why? What is she looking through to help her see the insect better? What might she be noticing about the bug?
  • Say: Scientists use their senses and different tools like a hand lens to help find answers to questions or “wonderings” people have about their world. Those answers can lead to making the world a better place for everyone.
  • Ask: What are some things you would like to explore and know more about?
