See It-Strategy
  1. Say: The girl remembers that a square has four sides and four corners. When she wants to make a set of four, she thinks of a square. In her mind, she places one object on each corner of the square.
  2. Have your child make a square with four toothpicks. Have her use a marker to make a dot on each corner of the square. Count the dots. Ask: Will a square help you remember what four looks like?
  3. Review other images your child made to remember numbers:
    Hand (5)
    Rainbow (6)
    Days of the week (7)
    Stop sign (8)
